Kiro for startups

For a limited time only, early stage to Series A VC-backed startups in most countries globally can apply for up to one year’s worth of Kiro Pro+ credits at three tiered packages. If you are approved, you will receive Kiro credits that are automatically added to your AWS account. If you select a plan greater than Kiro Pro+ upon receiving credits or exceed the number of users for the package tier you selected, you may be charged additional fees.

To apply for up to one year’s worth of Kiro Pro+ credits, you must be an early stage to Series A startup with an official business email address that matches your startup’s domain (example.com). You must also have an AWS Account ID which uses a matching email address. If you are a first time AWS user, you can [create an AWS account](http://signin.aws.amazon.com/signup?request_type=register) and obtain an AWS Account ID.

Kiro credits are supported in most countries globally where AWS billing is available. Startups in Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, France, Germany, Iran, Italy, Mexico, North Korea, Region of Crimea, Russia, Sudan, Syria, and Spain are not eligible for this program.

Yes, you need an AWS Account in order to receive Kiro Credits.

To use your Kiro startup credits, you must log in to Kiro using AWS IAM Identity Center ([Kiro Enterprise](/docs/enterprise/getting-started/)). Startup credits are not available when logging in with AWS Builder ID or social logins (GitHub, Google). Make sure your AWS account is configured with [IAM Identity Center](https://docs.aws.amazon.com/singlesignon/latest/userguide/getting-started.html) and use those credentials to access Kiro and redeem your startup credits.

No, all credits will be directly deposited to the provided AWS Account ID and will be activated upon provisioning.

You can view your credit usage in your AWS account.

Once you’ve used up all your credits, you’ll automatically switch to standard Kiro Pro+ billing.

Startups who have joined AWS Activate are not eligible for this offer; however, Activate credits can be used towards Kiro. Provided you meet the eligibility criteria for each offer, startups who have been accepted into the Kiro Startup Credit Program though can still apply for AWS Activate afterwards.

You will receive up to 1-year’s worth of Kiro Pro+ credits at the tier you selected.

Yes, credits expire one year after date of issuance to your AWS account.

No, your credits cannot be refunded or re-issued.

No, you may not transfer or sell your Kiro credits.

Kiro credits will be issued at a company level, so Kiro credits can be shared by authorized users of associated accounts that belong to the same company.
