Welcome to birthday week

One year in, Kiro has evolved from AI coding to agentic engineering. We never would have become the tool, or the team, that we are today without our community of developers. You have been showing up for us, providing feedback, participating in events, sharing what you’ve built, and all of it has made us better. It has been a genuine pleasure to see how this community has grown and changed alongside us. We talk about you a lot internally, in the best way. Just so you know.

We’re spending the whole week from July 13th through July 17th saying thank you to you all, with ways to earn extra credits, little surprises here and there, and celebrating what you’ve built and what you’re sharing. We’ll have a moment each day, anchored in a featured segment of community.

Your year of Kiro. Throughout the week, we want to hear about how you’ve built with Kiro over this past year. What shipped, what got easier, what surprised you? Daily coding challenges. Each day, a Kiro ambassador will announce a different coding challenge. Complete the daily challenges to earn Kiro bonus credits, with additional streak bonuses for consecutive completions and a multiplier at the end of the week based on total challenges completed. Can you get a perfect streak for maximum award?

The birthday party livestream. We’re livestreaming on Wednesday, July 15th at 9:30am PT and reminiscing about all the big moments over the last year. Product launches, program launches, events, builds, there’s a lot to cover. That’s why we’re also extending our usual 1-hour stream to 1.5 hours, with special guest Kiro VP Deepak Singh joining us for the last half hour to break down the vision—what it was, how it’s unfolded, where we’re going. Tune in, it’ll be a great party!

Community spotlights. All week we’ll be shining a light on the builders who made year one a success. Students building for tomorrow, founders launching and growing companies, Amazon and AWS builders and communities dogfooding daily, Kiro ambassadors pushing the boundaries and sharing their knowledge—it’s been remarkable to witness the breadth of industry, impact, and scale Kiro is helping builders across.

A few birthday surprises. It wouldn’t be a proper birthday without at least one or two surprises. We’ve got a few up our sleeve that we won’t spoil here, but follow along on social to make sure you’re staying in the know.
