Usage limits cap how many credits each user can use from the shared pool. You can set a limit directly for a user, through a group, or as the profile default. A limit is a credit amount, not a seat count. You set limits in the Kiro console under Access management > Credit sharing.
Your role needs permission to set and review usage limits. The full Kiro administrator policy includes those actions and other Kiro administration permissions.
The Usage limit column on the Users tab shows each user's limit and its source: User-level limit, Group-level limit, or Pool-level limit. The console uses Pool-level limit for the profile default.
Usage limits can only be set for credit sharing members. A limit cannot exceed the pool's total monthly and additional credits.
Kiro chooses each user's effective limit in this order:
If none of these limits exist, the user draws from the shared pool without a usage limit.
When a user reaches their effective limit, Kiro blocks further usage until you adjust their limit or until usage resets at the start of the next billing cycle.
If you set a limit below the credits a user has already used in the current billing cycle, that user is blocked from further usage under the same rule.
To change a user or group limit, select the user or group and choose Set usage limit again. In the Change usage limits dialog, enter the new credit amount and confirm. The new amount cannot exceed the pool's total monthly and additional credits.
To remove a user or group limit, select the user or group, choose Remove usage limit, then choose Remove limit.
To change the profile limit, choose Edit profile limit, enter the new credit amount, and confirm. To remove it, choose Edit profile limit, then choose Remove limit.
Go to Monitor usage to watch how the pool is used and when credits are projected to run out.
